About
We are a co-creative group of whanau who develop prospective design opportunities for mobile home living in all different parts of the country. In our experience we acknowledge the ecological layout of our whenua and biological impacts it has on our flora and fauna. Having a connection with our Tangata whenua has been the most rewarding part of our experience collaborating with local whanau hapu/iwi Maori and communities about our papakainga and living environments across the country. Finding inovative solutions to protect and preserve our native species. It is of our service at your fingertips that provides clarity around resources when it come to building papakainga whare for your whanau on multiple-owner maori land. Our small to medium relocatable designs are inspired by Barrier-living and are multipurpose built with our rugged New Zealand landscape in mind. We have understood the importance of our environmental impacts that play and key role in our health and wellbeing, and the way we live. We have spent countless hours enjoying our passion - evolving and growing our buisness through client collaboration, multiple korero engagement and whanau hui. We tautoko our rangatira, kaumatua kuia and rangatahi for the betterment of our future, providing us the opportunity to create our own pathway. It is a choice of ours we have chosen to bring our papakainga back where it originally begun to further the legacy across the rohe that was left by our tipuna here on Aotea.
William Wallace bill bayne built the first papakainga on pikiparia 'aotea' great barrier island in the late 80's. It is of my mothers inspiration and wisdom that has driven our business to tautoko a new re development of one of many original papakainga that sits in front of the uru pa in Katherine bay, Motairehe, Great Barrier Island.
